About Cavline

Raise the quality of an out-of-home impression —
and let you track it.

Most out-of-home advertising is sold on estimates: a traffic count, a multiplier, a guess at who looked up. Cavline puts ads on screens inside local businesses, where people are standing still and close enough to read, and counts what actually happened while the ad was on.

How it works

Two sides, one screen

Hosts

Local businesses with a screen

A café, gym, barbershop, or shop lists the screen on its wall. They approve the ads, keep the screen online, and get paid for every campaign that plays. Some hosts work with a cohost, a person who manages the screen and sells the slots for them and takes a share of the venue side.

Advertisers

Businesses that want to be seen

An advertiser picks the screens they want, uploads a creative, and books a slot. Payment runs through Stripe. While the ad is live they can see walk-in counts and QR scans for the screens they booked, in the app.

Cavline is the marketplace in between. We don’t own the screens and we don’t make the ads. We run the booking, the playback, the measurement, and the payouts.

Where we are

Built in Syracuse

Cavline Inc. is based in Syracuse, New York. The first screens on the network are in Syracuse businesses, and that is still where we walk in, set screens up, and talk to owners in person. We are expanding across New York State and into New Jersey, one venue at a time.

Founder

Zain Ghanim

Cavline was founded by Zain Ghanim and is built from Syracuse. He works directly with the venues and advertisers on the network, and the email address at the bottom of this page reaches him and the team, not a ticket queue. If a screen is doing something odd or a campaign is not performing the way you expected, tell us.

What we believe

Four things we won’t move on

  • 70% goes to the local business.

The venue side keeps seventy cents of every advertiser dollar. Cavline keeps thirty. The business whose wall it is should earn most of what it makes.

  • Hosts control what plays.

Every ad is approved by the business before it goes up, and a host can reject anything, for any reason. It is their room and their customers.

  • Measured, not estimated.

Walk-in counts come from sensors on the premises and QR scans are logged as they happen. You get a number, not a traffic model.

  • Indoors, at eye level.

A screen in a café, gym, or barbershop is seen by people who are standing still, not driving past a billboard at 60 miles an hour.
